Cadillac has taken advantage of this week’s virtual CES to tease their upcoming flagship electric sedan, the Celestiq.

Built upon Cadillac’s upcoming Ultium battery electric platform that will also serve as the basis for the Lyriq crossover and GMC’s Hummer electric pickup truck.

Expected to possess more than 300 miles of electric range (given the 400+ mile range of the top Tesla Model S, we expect the Celestiq to more than match their California competitor), a ‘pillar too pillar’ front dash screen, and a 4-zone glass roof panel that will allow any of the for seating positions too choose their own level of dimming/shading from the roof.

The infotainment system will include rear-seat displays for each rear passenger. Privacy technology will allow the front seat passenger too watch entertainment on their half of the dash display without distractions to the driver.

Power will flow to the road through all 4 wheels, likely meaning a dual-electric motor drivetrain with performance on par with the competition from Tesla. Also matching or exceeding Tesla will be GM’s latest edition of their award winning Super Cruise self driving.

The Celestiq is expected to be a 2024 model, likely going on sale during 2023.
